The SSSI in collaboration with NERSC held a three-days workshop in Longyearbyen at the end of October. Fifteen members and guests (finally!!) met in-person to discuss our work, the future development of the SSSI, and plan new projects. On Saturday, we had a public sharing event at the public library where peopel could come and meet SSSI members and discuss our work. In the evening, there was a public panel discussion moderated by the local journalist Line Nagell Ylvisaaker where we addressed various aspects of our research and talked about social sceinces on Svalbard.

The workshop was funded by the Svalbard Science Forum through the Svalbard Strategic Grant.
